#TravelTip: Learn a New Language with your iPhone
Don't have time to do a language course before your next trip? Learn phrases and correct pronunciation from locals with the help of your iphone on location. Ask people you meet in your travels (shopkeepers, chambermaids, waitstaff, taxi drivers, everyone who you encounter) how to say phrases you want to learn in their language and record it on your iphone or other smartphone. Then practice when you get back to your room and record yourself and compare to the native speaker you recorded previously. This is a great way not only to learn useful phrases, but to interact with locals!
If you are not traveling with your smartphone a pen and notebook will suffice!

Learn Travel Phrases Free Online!
Learn French, Italian, Greek and more on line free at BBC Languages. Visit their site at www.bbc.co.uk , a wonderful resource for travelers. They provide short histories of lanuages, lists of written phrases with audio. So if you just want to learn some basic travel terminology there is no need to spend a lot of money doing it. However not all languages are equally represented.
If you want to go more indepth I recommend Rosetta Stone's language courses (but not for Latin). Click here for Rosetta Stone - Free 2-Day Shipping in the U.S. They have a demo link to sample their program. Downside-can't do their program while driving.
Another program that people have recommended, but I haven't tried personally is offered by Transparent Languages. Click here to learn about their $20 Off Learn Language Now! 10.0

Have fun getting ready for your travel adventures!
